SNEEK – De brandweer is woensdagavond uitgerukt voor een melding dakbrand aan de Zwettekade.
Rond 21:00 uur ontdekten voorbijgangers een vonkenregen vanaf het dak van een flat aan de Zwettekade. De brandweer werd opgeroepen en is met spoed uitgerukt.
Brandweer Sneek en IJlst zijn met twee tankautospuiten en een hoogwerker ter plaatse gekomen. Ter plaatse werd duidelijk dat de vonkenregen vanaf een schoorsteen kwam vanaf het dak van de flat.
Brandweerlieden hebben de bewoners van de flat geëvacueerd en zijn buiten opgevangen. De straat was tijdens de inzet van de hulpdiensten afgesloten. De schoorsteenbrand werd veroorzaakt door een kachel in een van de woningen op de begane grond.
