POPPENWIER – Op de Albadawei in Poppenwier is dinsdagochtend een zeer ernstig ongeval gebeurd.
De hulpdiensten werden omstreeks twintig voor acht gealarmeerd voor de Harstawei. Bij aankomst bleek het ongeval te zijn op de Albadawei. Een automobilist was de macht over het stuur verloren en met z’n voertuig van de weg geraakt en kwam tientallen meters verderop in het weiland terecht. De hulpverleners konden niks meer doen, de bestuurder die als enige in het voertuig zat bleek ter plaatse aan zijn verwondingen te zijn overleden.
Tijdens het onderzoek was de volledige Albadawei afgesloten voor het overige verkeer. Een berger is ter plaatse gekomen om het zwaar beschadigde voertuig te bergen.
